Alisa and Christian were one of the many couples that had to postpone their wedding due to COVID. They ended up eloping in November of 2020, but still wanted to celebrate with their friends and family in a special way so they did a reception with their whole bridal party and surrounded by everyone they love.

They held the reception at Charles Krug winery in St. Helena, which is one of the oldest wineries in the Napa Valley. One of my favorite spots to take photos was with the CIA (Culinary Institute of America) in the background, it’s a spectacular building on the other side of the highway.

The speeches at Alisa and Christian’s wedding were some of the best I’ve ever seen; as an outsider it was obvious that they are surrounded by a wonderful community of friends and family that love them endlessly. Alisa and Christian also gave a speech and at the end they had a little surprise of their own – they’re expecting a baby in 2022! Seeing everyone’s reaction was priceless. Such a sweet memory for everyone to carry as they remember this wedding day.

A beautiful first dance, bouquet toss and donuts (!!) rounded out the evening! It is sure to be something they relive over and over again throughout their lives together.
